Jackson Speedway - 2012 Winter Ice Kart Events and Schedules

Due to lack of enough ice we have to cancel the Cascades Pond Ice Race In The Park.

Optimist Ice Race At The Rink  - Racing, Open Skating and a Jackson Speedway Car Show

The  2012 winter race will be at the Jackson Optimist Ice Arena. The date is Saturday March 24, 2012.   The track will be an oval just as in the past . There will be one hour of practice allowing drivers to make handling adjustments to their karts during this time. Each team will compete in three 40 lap heat races and a 150 lap feature race (all 20 karts will make the feature this year).  Practice will start at 5:30 pm. Racing will start at 7:00 pm and end around 10:30 pm. In addition to the race there will be open skating on the south rink and a Jackson Speedway race car show. General admission is $5 and includes open skating. So bring your whole family for a fun night at the rink.

The cost for a team is $400 per race and includes - the use of a go-kart and helmets. Only 20 teams will compete. The top three teams in each event will receive a trophy.  Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis. The ice races sell out quickly every year, so reserve your team as soon as possible!
